La calligrafia con Simon Silaidis diventa arte urbana.

Simon Silaidis artista di origine giapponese e residente ad Atene, in Grecia, è riuscito a dare un’altra dimensione alla calligrafia con il suo progetto chiamato Urban Calligraphy, la calligrafia come nuovo approccio al writing.

Questa antica arte rinasce a nuovo splendore sposando la street art. Nella sua espressione creativa ritroviamo la perfetta unione di una calligrafia che si ispira a quella occidentale, all’impostazione asiatica con riferimenti a quella araba per un risultato finale che riesce a cogliere riferimenti da tutti e tre questi differenti indirizzi.
Non si sottrae dall’utilizzare espedienti e contaminazioni astratte, nella sua visione finale riesce a trasmettere equilibrio, regalando una ritrovata forza emotiva.
L’artista ci presenta questo suo nuovo lavoro “Lucid Dream” realizzato all’interno di un vecchio edificio abbandonato.

Lucid Dream è un puro atto di ribellione, così Simon ne descrive il senso profondo:
“Lucid Dreaming” is an act of rebellion. The dreamer gains control over his actions and thoughts. The subconscious becomes conscious, dreams become a memory.
The Lucid Dreamer is like a magician, imposing willpower and constantly struggling with himself, to master his skills and gain full control of the dream, thus becoming the ruler of the maze instead of a single puppet in the paradox black hole of perception.
In life, in creation, there are times that everything seems pointless and dark. Shadows of doubt are casted upon each and every soul, trying to bring them down and enslave them.But Simon knows and likes to remind us, that gaining control of your actions, gaining control of your life, these are the first steps of making your dreams come true.
Be a lucid dreamer. Take control. Be a rebel.”
