L’arte culinaria illusoria della foodpainter giapponese Hikaru Cho

Le feste di Carnevale sono passate ormai da qualche giorno, ma la bizzarra e inaspettata arte di una bodypainter (in questo caso “foodpainter”) giapponese sembra catapultarci di nuovo in una dimensione di travestimento e mascheramento.

L’artista Hikaru Cho è l’autrice di un’affascinante serie denominata ‘It’s not what it seems‘, trasforma con grande abilità alimenti comuni applicando vernici acriliche come strumento per mascherare il tutto.
Una banana assume le sembianze di un cetriolo, un pomodoro si trasforma in un mandarino e perfino un uovo nasce dalla rottura di una melanzana.
